I have been on tapentadol for a year and the thing nobody warned me about is the daytime drowsiness.
My pharmacist was more useful than the appointment, and it was a two minute conversation at the counter.
Some days are fine and some are not and there is no pattern I can find, which makes it hard to plan anything.
My skin, my sleep and my mood all respond to this, and my appointments only ever ask about the third.
Timing matters more than I expected. Taking it at the same hour every day made the daytime drowsiness less random.
Interdose restlessness is a real thing and is not the same as the pain returning.
Mostly wanting to compare notes rather than be told what to do.
I would stop trying to convey how bad it is and start saying what you want them to do.
Sorry for the basic question, but how do you actually start one of these diaries? Same for me with tapentadol, unfortunately.
My pharmacist has become my actual doctor and I am at peace with it.
Following this because I am in the same place and have no idea what to ask at the appointment.
Ten percent cuts, of the current dose not the original. That is the arithmetic that keeps it survivable.
