Ordered from Spain for the first time and the credit card payment triggered every fraud check the bank has.

The published rule and the enforcement pattern are different documents and only one of them affects your parcel.

The credit card route gives you recourse and the transfer route gives you a lower price. Pick which you actually want.

Chargeback windows are shorter than people think and the clock starts at the transaction, not at the complaint.

What I have learned is that the 37 day mark is the point to start the process, not the point to panic.

Has the handling changed recently for anyone else?

Written confirmation email after every phone call. Cheapest insurance there is.

Do you contact the customs office or the carrier first? Four months in on Portugal and it lines up.
