A short guide, because half of the identification threads are unanswerable.
- Both sides, straight on, not at an angle. The imprint is the whole game.
- Diffuse light. Direct flash blows out the imprint. Window light or a sheet of paper as a diffuser.
- Something for scale. A coin is useless internationally; a ruler in millimetres is not.
- Colour in daylight. Indoor bulbs turn white pills yellow and yellow pills white.
- Say where you are. The same imprint means different products in different markets. Without a country the answer is a guess.
- Say what it is supposed to be. “Should be my blood pressure tablet” narrows it enormously.
Cropped, sharp, both sides, country, intended purpose. That is the whole checklist.

Point 5 is the one. Half the threads here have an answer that is only true in one country.

Daylight point is real. I photographed a white tablet on the kitchen table and it came out cream.
