Question for the people who have taken codeine long term: did the sweating ever settle, or is that just the price of admission?
Timing matters more than I expected. Taking it at the same hour every day made the sweating less random.

The difference between immediate and modified release is bigger than the leaflet makes it sound.
Interested mainly in what people wish they had known at the start.
Function over score.
Bring a list. Embarrassment makes everyone forget things, including you.
You have two changes at once here. You cannot attribute anything until one of them moves.
Sorry for the basic question, but how do you actually start one of these diaries?
Same shape here, different drug. The thing that helped was documenting the refusal rather than re-arguing it. They refer rather than write.
Access to mugs should be on the clinical questionnaire.

Sleep first. Bad night, bad day, more symptoms. Fix that before changing anything else.
Fifteen years of this and the function column is the only one that changed anything for me. Also, one page of history, printed, handed over at the start. It changes the appointment. How long have you been on codeine?
Is it normal to feel worse before better? Nobody told me that.
Same here.
Sweating was my main issue with codeine too.
Same here.
Ten percent cuts, of the current dose not the original. That is the arithmetic that keeps it survivable.
