Started Levaquin (levofloxacin) five years ago for pain and I am trying to work out whether what I am feeling now is tolerance or something else.
Some days are fine and some are not and there is no pattern I can find, which makes it hard to plan anything.
Pharmacist, not doctor, is where the useful advice has come from every single time.
Thrush after a course is common enough to be unremarkable and easy to treat.
What worked for you, and how long did it take before it worked?
Ten percent cuts, of the current dose not the original. That is the arithmetic that keeps it survivable.
Is it normal to feel worse before better? Nobody told me that.
It gets smaller. Not easy, smaller. That distinction kept me going.
Following this because I am in the same place and have no idea what to ask at the appointment.
Function over score. Currently on levofloxacin myself.
Fifteen years of this and the function column is the only one that changed anything for me. Also, one page of history, printed, handed over at the start. It changes the appointment.
The pain score conversation is thirty seconds of my life I will never get back, every time.
Print the page.
Sorry for the basic question, but how do you actually start one of these diaries?
Bring a list. Embarrassment makes everyone forget things, including you.
Enteric coatings should not be crushed. The pellets are the delivery mechanism.
How do you tell the difference between the drug working and just a good week? Not on levofloxacin but the pattern is familiar.
