Started Benadryl (diphenhydramine) five years ago for pain and I am trying to work out whether what I am feeling now is tolerance or something else.
Sleep is the variable that moves everything else. Bad night, worse day, more tolerance.
What helped was writing down what I could physically do that day rather than a pain score. Numbers lie, function does not.
Would rather hear from people who have lived it than from the leaflet.
Reference ranges differ between labs, so comparing two reports is close to meaningless.
You are not imagining it and you are not being difficult. Document it and take the document in. Not on diphenhydramine but the pattern is familiar.
Bring a list. Embarrassment makes everyone forget things, including you.
Following this because I am in the same place and have no idea what to ask at the appointment.
Same here.
Tolerance was my main issue with diphenhydramine too.
Same here.
Currently on diphenhydramine myself.
Ask for the longer appointment slot. Ten minutes is not enough for a complex history and pretending otherwise wastes both your time. Five years in on diphenhydramine and it lines up.

Sorry for the basic question, but how do you actually start one of these diaries?
