Small thing that made a difference for me with splitting an order.
Do it before the appointment, not during it.
No equipment needed and it costs nothing.
Took me years to work this out.

The last ten percent of a taper takes as long as the first ninety. Nobody says so until you are in it. Same for me with splitting an order, unfortunately.
