USPS has held my parcel for 38 days with no scan. Is that normal for this route or should I start the process?

Filing the paperwork early is worth more than arguing later about whose fault it was.

Declarations that contradict the return address are the ones that get opened.

The published rule and the enforcement pattern are different documents and only one of them affects your parcel.

Anyone had this route work recently, or is it closed for now?

Photograph everything before you open it. Ten seconds, settles most disputes.

The address matters more than the contents eventually. Changing what you order when the address is flagged changes nothing.

The cheapest option costs more once you price in the failure rate.

Domain age is one of the few signals that is expensive to fake and free to check.

What do you do about the fee? Do you just pay it?

The sticker on the box is just so you know they were in there. It is the letter that matters. How long have you been on Germany?
