Ordered from India for the first time and the prepaid card payment triggered every fraud check the bank has.

The three month rule is cumulative across parcels in more places than people realise.

USPS scans are generated at the hub, so a silent tracking page is not evidence of a problem for the first 23 days.

What is the thing you check first now?

Do you contact the customs office or the carrier first?

Photograph everything before you open it. Ten seconds, settles most disputes.

Written confirmation email after every phone call. Cheapest insurance there is.

Silent tracking in the first week is normal. Scanning happens at hubs, not continuously.

File early. The window is shorter than people think and it starts at the transaction.
