Following this because I am in the same place and have no idea what to ask at the appointment.

Careful with attribution. You changed the timing, the dose and the season. That is three variables. How long have you been on shift work and insomnia?

I would stop trying to convey how bad it is and start saying what you want them to do. Same for me with shift work and insomnia, unfortunately.

You have two changes at once here. You cannot attribute anything until one of them moves.

Ten percent cuts, of the current dose not the original. That is the arithmetic that keeps it survivable.

Ten percent cuts. Slower is faster.

Interdose restlessness is distinct from the original symptom and worth naming separately.

Interdose restlessness is distinct from the original symptom and worth naming separately. Currently on shift work and insomnia myself.

Worth repeating that this is not medical advice and the answer often depends on who you are.
