My doctor moved me from one opioid to Tramal (tramadol) and the first three weeks were rough in a way nobody prepared me for.
Having a single page of history makes the appointment half as bad, because they can read faster than I can talk.
What I was not prepared for is how much of this is administrative rather than clinical.
I have tried three of the alternatives and afternoon wearing off was the problem with two of them.
Has anyone else found a way to describe this that lands in an appointment?
Reference ranges differ between labs, so comparing two reports is close to meaningless.
Same here.
Ask for the longer appointment slot. Ten minutes is not enough for a complex history and pretending otherwise wastes both your time.

Enteric coatings should not be crushed. The pellets are the delivery mechanism.
Is it normal to feel worse before better? Nobody told me that.
It gets smaller. Not easy, smaller. That distinction kept me going.
Sorry for the basic question, but how do you actually start one of these diaries? Same for me with tramadol, unfortunately.
Same shape here, different drug. The thing that helped was documenting the refusal rather than re-arguing it. They refer rather than write.

Half of what people describe as tolerance is a change in the underlying condition, and the two need different answers.
