What do you do about the fee? Do you just pay it?

Same here.

How long have you been on Deutsche Post?

Filing early beats arguing later. And ask for the reference number, always.

Written confirmation email after every phone call. Cheapest insurance there is. Side effects was my main issue with Deutsche Post too.

Domain age is one of the few signals that is expensive to fake and free to check.

Photograph everything before you open it. Ten seconds, settles most disputes. Side effects was my main issue with Deutsche Post too.

Do you contact the customs office or the carrier first?

Three month limits are cumulative across parcels in more places than people realise.

The sticker on the box is just so you know they were in there. It is the letter that matters. Same for me with Deutsche Post, unfortunately.

Fees like that are charged by the carrier, not the state, which is why they are hard to contest. Same for me with Deutsche Post, unfortunately.

Split the order. Three weeks in on Deutsche Post and it lines up.

Photograph everything before you open it. Ten seconds, settles most disputes. Not on Deutsche Post but the pattern is familiar.
