Started Paxlovid (nirmatrelvir-ritonavir) eight months ago for pain and I am trying to work out whether what I am feeling now is tolerance or something else.
What helped was writing down what I could physically do that day rather than a pain score. Numbers lie, function does not.
The first 11 weeks were the worst and I nearly stopped. Glad I did not, but nobody said it would take that long.
Reference ranges shift between labs, so comparing results across two different labs is close to meaningless.
Rebound after the course is documented and should not be a surprise.
Would rather hear from people who have lived it than from the leaflet.
Function over score.
Half of what people describe as tolerance is a change in the underlying condition, and the two need different answers. Currently on nirmatrelvir-ritonavir myself.
You have two changes at once here. You cannot attribute anything until one of them moves.
Changing prescriber does not reset anything, and people discover that the hard way.
Everyone here blames the drug. Half the time it is the appointment schedule, not the molecule.
Enteric coatings should not be crushed. The pellets are the delivery mechanism.
You are not imagining it and you are not being difficult. Document it and take the document in.
