Question for the people who have taken azithromycin long term: did the sun sensitivity ever settle, or is that just the price of admission?
The rebound is worse than the original problem for about a fortnight and then it eases.
My doctor wants to separate tolerance from a genuine change in the underlying problem, which sounds sensible until you try to describe the difference in a ten minute appointment.
The generic switch was the only change and it was noticeable for about three weeks.
I am not worse, exactly. I am less able to pretend, which may be progress.
Am I the only one, or is this the normal shape of three weeks on something like this?
My pharmacist has become my actual doctor and I am at peace with it.
Ask for the longer appointment slot. Ten minutes is not enough for a complex history and pretending otherwise wastes both your time.
Same here.
Fifteen years of this and the function column is the only one that changed anything for me. Also, one page of history, printed, handed over at the start. It changes the appointment.
Worth asking what specifically was measured. Pain scores move with mood and function does not.
Changing prescriber does not reset anything, and people discover that the hard way.
Small wins count. Walking to the mailbox is a data point. Three weeks in on azithromycin and it lines up.
Access to mugs should be on the clinical questionnaire.
