Question for the people who have taken zopiclone long term: did the next-day fog ever settle, or is that just the price of admission?
I have tried three of the alternatives and next-day fog was the problem with two of them.
The generic switch was the only change and it was noticeable for about three weeks.
The dose has stayed the same for two years and the effect has not, which is the whole puzzle.
Two in the morning waking is the pattern with this class and nobody warns you.
Any suggestions welcome, especially the boring practical ones.

You have two changes at once here. You cannot attribute anything until one of them moves.
