Started Normison (temazepam) three years ago for pain and I am trying to work out whether what I am feeling now is tolerance or something else.

What helped was writing down what I could physically do that day rather than a pain score. Numbers lie, function does not.

Pharmacist, not doctor, is where the useful advice has come from every single time.

What worked for you, and how long did it take before it worked?

Function over score.

Changing prescriber does not reset anything, and people discover that the hard way.

My pharmacist has become my actual doctor and I am at peace with it.

You are not imagining it and you are not being difficult. Document it and take the document in.

You have two changes at once here. You cannot attribute anything until one of them moves.

Worth asking what specifically was measured. Pain scores move with mood and function does not.

It gets smaller. Not easy, smaller. That distinction kept me going. Same for me with temazepam, unfortunately.

Following this because I am in the same place and have no idea what to ask at the appointment.

Interdose restlessness is distinct from the original symptom and worth naming separately.
