I have been on temazepam for a fortnight and the thing nobody warned me about is the daytime sedation.
The dose has stayed the same for a fortnight and the effect has not, which is the whole puzzle.
What helped was writing down what I could physically do that day rather than a pain score. Numbers lie, function does not.
My doctor wants to separate tolerance from a genuine change in the underlying problem, which sounds sensible until you try to describe the difference in a ten minute appointment.
Memory gaps are dose related and worse when the interval between doses stretches.
Has anyone else found a way to describe this that lands in an appointment?
Sleep first. Bad night, bad day, more symptoms. Fix that before changing anything else. A fortnight in on temazepam and it lines up.
Same here.
Everyone here blames the drug. Half the time it is the appointment schedule, not the molecule.
Ask for the longer appointment slot. Ten minutes is not enough for a complex history and pretending otherwise wastes both your time. Not on temazepam but the pattern is familiar.
Same here.
Currently on temazepam myself.
Changing prescriber does not reset anything, and people discover that the hard way.
