Long post, sorry. Depo-Testosterone (testosterone cypionate): what actually has human evidence behind it, and what is extrapolation from animals?
Sample size, blinding, and who paid for it. Those three questions kill most of the confidence in most of these threads.
What surprised me is how much of the perceived benefit was routine and attention rather than pharmacology.
Forum consensus and published consensus diverged here about five years ago and never reconverged.
Bloodwork before opinions. Everything else here is a guess with better marketing.
How do you separate the compound effect from the routine around it?
Same here.
Name the active ingredient, not just the brand. It makes these threads searchable years later.
My rule, after years of this: if it cannot survive being written down with the numbers attached, it is marketing. A fortnight in on testosterone cypionate and it lines up.
Test one thing at a time. It feels slower and it is the only way to learn anything.
Nobody has ever been talked out of a stack by a stranger on the internet.
Where does the human data stop and the extrapolation begin? That is the whole thread.
An inconclusive account is useful if it stops the next person mistaking a story for a controlled comparison. Currently on testosterone cypionate myself.
Is a baseline blood test really necessary before starting something like this?
Log dose, time and sleep. Ten seconds a day and it turns the anecdote into something you can look at. A fortnight in on testosterone cypionate and it lines up.
Stupid question: how do you know whether what is in the vial matches the label at all?

Cold storage, light protection, date on the vial. Boring, removes half the variables. Same for me with testosterone cypionate, unfortunately.
