Long post, sorry. Depo-Testosterone (testosterone cypionate): what actually has human evidence behind it, and what is extrapolation from animals?
Baseline first. Without a baseline the after picture is decoration.
The measured outcome and the hoped-for outcome are rarely the same thing in these threads.
The interesting question is not whether it works but for whom and at what cost.

I would take the narrow conclusion. Broad ones are more interesting and less true.
