Comparing two orders, one from Japan and one domestic. The difference in handling is the interesting part, not the price. The virtual card route gives you recourse and the transfer route gives you a lower price. Pick which you actually want.

Silent tracking in the first week is normal. Scanning happens at hubs, not continuously.

Three month limits are cumulative across parcels in more places than people realise.

No referral links. Shortened links and tracking parameters are the usual offenders.

“Registered with” is doing an enormous amount of work in that sentence.

File early. The window is shorter than people think and it starts at the transaction.

The published rule and the enforcement pattern are different documents. Only one of them affects you.

What do you do about the fee? Do you just pay it? Same for me with PayPal, unfortunately.

Fees like that are charged by the carrier, not the state, which is why they are hard to contest.

Written confirmation email after every phone call. Cheapest insurance there is.
